Myles Orchard - Senior Vice President, US Property Reinsurance
Myles joined ArielRE in September of 2008 bringing 14 years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Most recently he worked for Arch Re as a Property Underwriter on the US treaty team, writing all lines of treaty reinsurance. Myles began his career at Johnson & Higgins in Bermuda, before moving to The Shipowner’s Insurance and Guaranty Company, where he became the chief underwriter for SIGCo’s COFR guaranty business. He then moved into Property Reinsurance underwriting with LaSalle Re before moving to Arch Re in 2001.
Myles has his CPCU and ARe designations, and holds a BA degree from Trent University, Canada. He is actively involved in the Bermuda marketplace as the Secretary of the executive committee of the Bermuda Independent Underwriters Association, and serves on the Scholarship Committee of the Bermuda Insurance Institute.
