Jakob is responsible for underwriting treaty and facultative business in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific regions. Jakob has over 15 years of broad international underwriting and finance experience. He joins from Swiss Re where he was responsible for underwriting credit and surety reinsurance in EMEA and the Asia Pacific markets Prior to joining Swiss Re Jakob spent 10 years in London with leading underwriters including AIG where he focused on large surety (PFI) transactions followed by heading up the structured solutions team at leading credit insurer Atradius. Prior to moving to London Jakob held positions with Atradius in Amsterdam and Copenhagen as well as an auditor with KPMG.
Jakob holds a HD(R) Master in accounting and business economics from Copenhagen Business School.
