Robert (Bob) Hansberry - Senior Vice President, Property Underwriting
Bob Hansberry joined ArielRE in September, 2006 underwriting the High Hazard Industry classes of business which include Mining, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Pulp & Paper, and Primary Metals. After three years as a Reactor Specialist with Degussa Corporation, he began his insurance career with Industrial Risk Insurers (“IRI”) as a Chemical Loss Control Representative. During his ten years with IRI, he held positions in engineering, underwriting, account management and sales. In 2003, he joined the Energy Underwriting unit of XL Insurance in Bermuda. In 2005, he was named the Mining Industry Group Practice Leader for XL’s worldwide property operations. Mr. Hansberry has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette Collage in Easton, PA.
