Klaus A. Gebhardt

Klaus Gebhardt began his insurance career with Thuringia Versicherungs AG in Stuttgart Germany in 1977 and by 1980 achieved the role of Claims Examiner. In 1982 he became an Underwriter with Bayerische Versicherungs Bank and wrote primarily large commercial property business. Later that same year he became Senior Underwriter with Allianz Versicherungs AG. He spent the next ten years with the Allianz Insurance Company as Senior Underwriter in Munich, Director in Los Angeles and Chief Underwriting Officer in Burbank, California. He left Allianz in 1995 for the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Arkwright Mutual Insurance Company were he managed all aspects of Arkwright’s underwriting program. Prior to joining the Ariel Re Underwriting team he was the Executive Vice President of ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd’s property division and later Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for ACE International’s Latin America division. Mr. Gebhardt holds a Bachelors degree of Insurance and is a frequent participant of industry conferences and workshops.
