George Rivaz

George Rivaz was a founding member of the Tempest Re team, having joined General Re to work on Tempest Re's formation in 2003.  At Tempest Re, Mr. Rivaz served as Chief Underwriting Officer from 1996 to 1998 and Chief Operating Officer from April 1998, until leaving the company in June 2001.  

From 2001 to 2005 Mr. Rivas served as Managing Director of Rivaz Consulting Ltd, a specialist strategic and risk management consultancy to the insurance industry.  He is also a Non-Executive Director of Atrium Underwriting plc.  

Prior to Tempest Re he worked in Lloyd's for Wellington's Syndicate 1095 for 6 years and for Munich Re in London for three years.
